One of my organisational goals for Jan-Feb was to set up a family/household binder. A household binder is a folder which contains important information and relevant documentation for quick and easy access. It can include categories such as food, medical, school info, finance, contact info, travel, cleaning, car, work... Whatever you think will be helpful for you and your family.
Building a storage cupboard
Today is the launch of 'The Organised You TV'! I'm hoping to release a video every other week, with a focus on 'how-to'. I'll be showing you how I organise different areas around my home, and different projects that we are tackling, such as the build of a new storage cupboard in this first episode. Other videos will be focused on showing how I help other people organise their own spaces, which is ultimately my passion in being a personal organiser!
So, today's episode is showing you how we built a new storage cupboard at the end of our hallway. It's really exciting to be able to create extra storage space, and I'm eagerly anticipating filling it up! Hope you enjoy this episode, and stay tuned for next episode when I show you how I organise the new space :)
Command center inspiration
Today I'm doing a round-up of some beautifully organised family command centers. I've been doing a bit of 'Pinterest-research' on these recently, trying to come up with the best system for our own space. I actually have too many ideas at the moment! I want to try to incorporate bag storage into our little nook, so it could be a bigger project than I initially thought. Might need to get hubby on the tools again!
Setting goals for 2015
When I'm on holiday, my mind is always buzzing with great plans for things I want to do, and projects I want to work on, around our house. When I get back from holidays though, this thought process makes it a whole lot easier for me to set goals for what I want to achieve for the start of the year. Here's my process and new goals for the year ahead.
Organising the freezer
Today is freezer organising day! I am so rapt with how our fridge turned out after the big clear-out and reorganise last week, so I was looking forward to doing the same with the freezer (my husband thinks it's hilarious that I get excited about organising a freezer... but he's the same when he gets to use his tools!).
An organised fridge
Today is all about fridge organisation, and how I got this area sorted. There are several huge advantages to having an organised fridge, including saving time and money, using storage solutions more effectively, and making the fridge run as efficiently as possible. Here's how I whipped ours into shape!
