Wardrobes are a tricky space to keep organised. New clothes get brought in without clearing out old ones, shoes pile up, you try on lots of outfits for a special occasion and don't hang them back up. It is easy for things to get out of control if organised storage systems are not in place.
Being prepared for celebrations
I don't know why, but I am really terrible at choosing cards. I stand for ages in the card section, looking for one that's not too cutesy or bad-humoured, that has the right colours and message, is appropriate for the person... there's too many factors! Maybe I'm over-thinking things? Totally goes with my personality :)
How to organise the garage
Confessions of an organiser
Without a doubt, our garage has always been the most disorganised space in our house. Luckily no-one ever goes in there except us, which I suppose is also where the problem starts. Garages can quickly and easily become a disorganised, cluttered mess. They are also the most unexciting space to organise, hence why I've put it off for so long. But I knew in the long run it would make things so much easier, especially because my husband enjoys building things, and I'm always getting him to do little jobs around the house.
On The Organised You TV this Saturday, I'll be showing the garage makeover. Today I thought I'd show you the dreadful 'before' shots and talk about why the space really wasn't working for us. If this looks like your garage, then hopefully you get some ideas from Saturday's video.

Organising and storing children's artwork
It's been an extremely busy month at our house as my husband has started a new job, my son is settling into 3 year-old kinder, and we are all trying to get used to the new routine. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to post some tips for making the mornings run more smoothly. I am quickly learning that you can never be too organised in this area!
