Without a doubt, our garage has always been the most disorganised space in our house. Luckily no-one ever goes in there except us, which I suppose is also where the problem starts. Garages can quickly and easily become a disorganised, cluttered mess. They are also the most unexciting space to organise, hence why I've put it off for so long. But I knew in the long run it would make things so much easier, especially because my husband enjoys building things, and I'm always getting him to do little jobs around the house.

On The Organised You TV this Saturday, I'll be showing the garage makeover. Today I thought I'd show you the dreadful 'before' shots and talk about why the space really wasn't working for us. If this looks like your garage, then hopefully you get some ideas from Saturday's video.

We have recently put one up in our garden, and it has created loads more storage space in our garage, plus provides an easily accessible place to keep all our gardening essentials. In today's video, I'm showing you how we organised our garden shed, utilising every inch of this small space as an effective storage system.

The build of this shed turned out to be a bigger project than we anticipated, so I hope you're prepared for photo overload! We achieved a lot over three weekends of hard work in pretty hot weather. Not only did we erect the shed, we also did a lot of garden clearing, extended the drip system, and fixed up the kids' backyard play area. So glad to have it all finished!
