This year, I am on a cleaning mission to convert to all natural cleaning products for my home. I started this process last year when I was cleaning the house for our Christmas party and I was testing out different window/glass cleaners. Since then, I've been doing further research into all-natural homemade cleaners, and thought I'd share the first lot of recipes with you today, as I've had great success with them.

While of course I love our home, there is a lot that goes into maintaining it - cleaning, gardening, fixing, building, decorating... I do love tackling new projects, but cleaning? Not so much. In today's video, I'm sharing some tips for getting the laundry done more quickly and efficiently. I've been using this storage box system for quite a while now, and it saved me a huge amount of time (and sanity) plus encourages independence from the kids as they start to help put away their own things. If you've got kids, you would know that it is easy for their belongings to quickly take over the house. It can be difficult to corral all the toys, books, dress-ups, art and craft supplies... finding space in the house to store everything can be a real challenge. Of course, we always want our children to know this space is as much theirs as it is ours. We made the decision about a year ago to create a dedicated kid's zone in our kitchen/living area, and it was one of the best things we've done. It's definitely the spot in the house the children use the most - whether it be drawing, writing, eating their snacks or listening to music.
Ever since my husband made our entryway console, I have wanted to line those drawers. 8 months later, and I finally got around to it! Lining drawers is a great way to bring a pop of colour to an otherwise boring looking space - I've done it in my bathroom drawers, my daughter's chest of drawers and kitchen drawers. A quick and easy project to make something look a bit more exciting!
