Organising your kids' wardrobes

Organising your kids' wardrobes

Today I'm giving you a look at how we organise our kids' clothes so that everything is organised, easily accessible, and our children can start to learn how to put clothes away themselves. My daughter's room just has a chest of drawers at present, while my son's bedroom has a double built-in wardrobe that we use for hanging both their clothes, as well as storing linen and extra 'stuff'. We have plans to renovate this space soon so here's a peek before we change it up!

As part of all the posts on getting wardrobes organised this month, I thought I'd also focus on getting your kid's clothes and accessories under control. Next week, I'll be showing you a video of how our kids' wardrobes are set up, but today I'm focusing on how to organise your kids' accessories, including hairbands and clips, bags and hats.

Reaching the crazy level

Reaching the crazy level

Today is an honest post, as things have been so hectic around here lately that I really need to unleash! I recently took on a new job, and although it is an exciting new venture and I'm really enjoying myself so far, it has also been very time-consuming and a stressful process learning the ropes. Having 4 jobs on the go, plus looking after 2 young kids and running a house, was all getting just a bit too much, and last week I had a big cry. Emotions have been running high this month for sure!

A crafting area for kids

If you've got kids, you would know that it is easy for their belongings to quickly take over the house. It can be difficult to corral all the toys, books, dress-ups, art and craft supplies... finding space in the house to store everything can be a real challenge. Of course, we always want our children to know this space is as much theirs as it is ours. We made the decision about a year ago to create a dedicated kid's zone in our kitchen/living area, and it was one of the best things we've done. It's definitely the spot in the house the children use the most - whether it be drawing, writing, eating their snacks or listening to music.
