Holiday planning and goal-setting

Holiday planning and goal-setting

Hi everyone, it's great to be back on the blog after a week away. As I talked about in my last post, my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful break in New Zealand for our friends' wedding. New Zealand is such a gorgeous place, have you ever been? We were staying in Queenstown, and it was just stunning. I would highly recommend putting it on your list of places to visit!

The kids had a fantastic time at home with both sets of our parents - we are so lucky to have the ability to go away and know our children are in safe hands. Despite missing them like crazy, it was just amazing to have so much one-on-one time. I always love a break from our everyday schedules, household chores and general busyness, but to have a complete break from parenthood was a pretty crazy feeling. Let's just say the wine was WELL enjoyed, especially at the wedding :) But I'm here today to talk about our holiday planning and personal goal setting.

Overcoming the 'Mummy Guilt'

Overcoming the 'Mummy Guilt'

I have mixed feelings as I write this post this morning. Friends of ours are getting married on Saturday in New Zealand. So my husband and I are heading off on a plane tomorrow for a week... without the kids. What does this have to do with an organising blog? Well, I wanted to talk a little about Mother's guilt - that gnawing feeling that we all have when we we feel like we're not doing the right thing, that we could be doing better, that we should be spending more time with our kids.

However, I'm realising more and more during this crazy parenting journey, that it's also so important to give ourselves a break every now and again, and not feel guilty about it. If it leads to feeling refreshed and ready to tackle all those Mummy tasks with renewed energy, then it's something we all surely deserve every now and again.

Creating an organised car kit

Creating an organised car kit

If you travel with kids, it is important to have some essentials in your car in case of any emergencies. I've been caught in too many situations where I've been unprepared and desperately needed some towels, wipes or an umbrella! Today's episode of The Organised You TV I'm showing you how to create an organised car kit filled with all the important items in one easy-to-store place.

5 Tips for an organised change table

5 Tips for an organised change table

The time has finally come for us to start our daughter's nursery makeover. At 2 years old, she is outgrowing many of the things in it (such as her change-table) and I am ready for a change. I'm looking forward to creating better toy storage in this room, as there is hardly any at the moment. The change table is really just taking up space now, but it has definitely been a valuable nursery addition for the last 4 years. I've previously shown you the makeover I did to get everything sorted, but today I thought I'd share 5 top tips for an organised and well-functioning change table.
