Home from holidays
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a great weekend! We are home from our wonderful holiday in Noosa, and straight back into the swing of everyday life. It really is a shock to the system after 10 days lazing around the pool and beach!
It was an absolutely fantastic holiday, one of our best ever! We stayed at 'The Cove' which was just amazing - it had a lovey pool, Little Cove beach was right across the road, and it was only a 2 minute walk to the main beach and shops. It is a perfect spot for families, and I would highly recommend it!
These two had a fantastic time! #besties
We flew in late Saturday night, and spent a busy Sunday unpacking, doing the laundry, meal planning, grocery shopping, preparing lunches for the week ahead... and dealing with a pretty grumpy toddler who never did manage a sleep-in while we were away! We are attempting to do at least fortnightly, if not monthly, supermarket shops, so yesterday was the first shot at starting this new habit, and building up our stock-pile of pantry staples. I'm going to see how it goes and will be back to post any tips and hints soon if it ends up working well!
Before I left for our holiday, I made sure to do a thorough house clean, as there is nothing worse than coming home from holidays to a dirty house. Even though it made for a busy lead-up to the trip, this is one thing I'm so happy I didn't have to tackle yesterday.
And a little follow up to my packing post - I assumed that I had a 20kg baggage allowance, but was (not so pleasantly!) surprised to find out it was only 15kg, so had to cough up an extra $50 for being over the limit. Kicking myself because I could've fit the extras into that third carry-on easily! Lesson learned - always read the fine print, and assume nothing when traveling!
I'll be back on Thursday with a post on surviving the lead-up to Christmas. Until then, I'll be dreaming of this....
